Operationalizing Open RAN: Integration, Testing, and Assurance for Multi-Vendor Networks
OBJECTIVE:
As Open RAN deployments move from proof-of-concept to commercial scale, the industry is confronting a critical challenge: how to operationalize disaggregated, multi-vendor RAN architectures while maintaining the performance, reliability, and security expected of carrier-grade networks. Unlike traditional vertically integrated RAN systems, Open RAN introduces a complex ecosystem of radio units, distributed and centralized units, and intelligent controllers that must interoperate seamlessly across diverse vendor environments.
This session explores the operational model required to successfully deploy and sustain Open RAN networks, with a focus on integration, validation, and performance assurance. The discussion will highlight how advanced testing frameworks, interoperability labs, and automation-driven validation pipelines enable operators to verify multi-vendor compatibility, ensure Massive MIMO performance, and accelerate the transition from lab to live network deployment
